NORWICH - Two DCMO BOCES Career & Technical Education students from the Pole Campus were recognized with scholarships on Friday, May 29, receiving the Marlene Klock Memorial Award, also known as the T&K Harrington, LLC Scholarship.

The scholarship recognizes Chenango County high school seniors who plan to enter the workforce directly after graduation, with special consideration given to students entering the field of underground utilities. The 2026 scholarship was further supported by an additional contribution from Bruce Elmore in honor of his parents, Mary and Walt Elmore.

Calvin Wheelock, a senior from Greene Central School District, and Blake Barrows, a senior from Oxford Academy Central School District, are this year’s recipients. Wheelock plans to enter the workforce after graduation, joining Cook’s Sanitation. He also recently earned his CDL-A Restricted License, marking an important step toward his career goals. Barrows plans to begin working for L.W. Morse and Sons Plumbing and Heating following graduation.
