AURORA— The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team traveled to take on Southern Cayuga in the Section IV, Class C quarterfinals on Tuesday evening. B-G, who made it past the first round against Seton Catholic, fell in a hard 10-2 game against the third seed.

Southern Cayuga took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first before B-G got on the board with a run in the top of the second. Tori Suda led the inning off with an infield single, advanced to second on a groundout, and scored on an error.

The Falcons added on with four runs in the bottom of the second and extended its lead to 8-1 before the Bobcats answered back in the top of the fifth. With two outs, Brenna George singled, stole second, advanced to third and scored on an error before the final out.

B-G scored two runs on four hits.

George, Breanna Casey, Tori Suda, and Abby Fitzgerald each had a hit in the loss.

Casey also reached on a walk.

Alessandra Cafasso went all six innings, allowing 10 runs (five earned) on five hits, nine walks, and struck out four batters.

B-G finishes the 2026 season with a 10-7 record. Best of luck to the seniors.
