BAINBRIDGE - After a strong regular season, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team earned the sixth seed in the 2026 Section IV, Class C tournament, where they hosted 11th seed Seton Catholic on Thursday.

B-G advanced to the next round of sectionals with a 9-4 victory.

Seton scored its runs in the first two innings and took a 4-1 lead before B-G tied it in the bottom of the third.

Jayslin Henderson had a two-out RBI single after Alessandra Cafasso doubled and came in to score.

Henderson came up big again with another two-out RBI single in the bottom of the third inning.

Tori Suda singled in the next at-bat, which drove in two runs to tie the game at four.

B-G took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning and added on in the bottom of the sixth.

Henderson, Suda, and Kaylin Furgason led the team with two hits while Henderson also led the team with three RBIs.

Suda drove in the two runs in the win.

Cafasso pitched the complete game, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits, seven walks, and struck out nine batters.

B-G advances to take on third-seeded Southern Cayuga this evening at 5 p.m.
