TIOGA CENTER —The Oxford Blackhawks softball team earned the 12th seed in the Section IV, Class C tournament and traveled to take on fifth seeded Tioga. Oxford fell 12-4 on Thursday night.
After being down 8-0, Oxford got on the board with a run in the fourth inning as Elizabeth Vincent singled to lead off the inning. She stole second and stole third to come in to score on Reagan Long's double to left field.
Tioga added on while Oxford put up three runs in the top of the sixth inning.
With two outs, Reagan Long tripled to right field and scored on Jenna Denz's double.
An error brought in Denz and put Abby Stone on base to come in to score on Cora Hodge's double.
Lily Marshman went six innings, allowing 12 runs (three earned) on 12 hits, one walk, and struck out six batters.
Oxford finishes the 2026 season with a 6-9 record. Good luck to the seniors.
