B-G Baseball Falls To Windsor

WINDSOR—The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team took on non-league opponent Windsor in the final game before sectionals. B-G took an early 4-0 lead but Windsor scored seven runs in the bottom of the second and held B-G to win 10-4.

Both teams had seven hits in the contest.

B-G's four runs in the first came on RBI singles by Anthony Cafasso and Brayden Swartwout while Mason Acquisto had a groundout RBI and an error brought in the fourth run before the final out.

Swartwout led the Bobcats with two hits and an RBI as Connor Davy had a double in the first inning to get in scoring position.

Swartwout also got the start on the mound, where he went an inning and two-thirds, allowing six unearned runs on two hits, three walks, and two strikeouts.

Connor Davy, Anthony Cafasso, Aidan Haynes, and Micah Casey pitched in relief.

B-G (11-4) earned the fifth seed in the Section IV, Class C tournament with a first round bye. The Bobcats will travel to take on fourth seeded Union Springs on Friday at 5 p.m.
