BAINBRIDGE – The Jericho Arts Council Gallery Committee hopes to see you enjoying the last few days of Regatta Row while roaming North and West Main Streets in downtown Bainbridge.

This is the 11th Art Trail Exhibit which this year consists of twelve of our classic Canoe Paddle Adirondack style chairs and six child sized versions built by local woodworker Dan Stolzfus! The theme this year is “Americana - 250 Years”  - a non-political celebration, honoring the History, Art and Nature of America.

Golden Artist Colors of New Berlin and Norwich has again donated a selected assortment of their fine Acrylic paints to each artist based on their design plan. The chairs are being auctioned starting online at www.32auctions.com/rr2026chairs and can be viewed on the streets now till Friday, May 22.

They will that day be taken to General Clinton Park to be viewed during the Regatta festivities until they are auctioned by Ron Ingham Auctioneer in the big red and white striped Chamber of Commerce Tent, at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 23. If you are unable to attend you can submit a proxy bid on the auction website. Don’t forget to vote for People’s Choice award (www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZQ9NWLD ) which will be announced at a brief artist recognition before the live auction begins.

This year’s talented artists are: Abby Barnett (Award of Excellence), Gavin Bocanegra (Award of Excellence), Fran Briggs, Donna Cutting, Samantha Frederick, Christine Giuliano (Mayor’s Award), Jennifer Grady, Sarah Green, Rachel Hares, Keiko Howard, Mackenzie Ingraham, Dorene Ireland, Christi Jordan, Carol Lernihan, Cyndy Weeks-Patterson, Katelyn Wetzel (Best Creative Concept) and Christopher Lloyd Wright (Best in Show).

Also on display in the storefronts of businesses are 54 decorative Canoe paddles made by Dale Fox and painted by students of Bainbridge-Guilford, Afton, Greene and Oxford High Schools and Greenlawn Elementary. The paddles will be online auctioned at www.32auctions.com/rr2026paddles until Friday, June 5 and then be moved into the JAC Town Hall Gallery at 15 N. Main Street to be exhibited during the final concert of the season on Sunday, June 7 and available to those who won the online auction. There is the possibility that there will be some paddles available for purchase that afternoon. Come enjoy seeing all the creatively painted paddles in one place starting at 1 p.m.
