EARLVILLE - Sherburne Music-Theater Society (SMTS) is in its final week of rehearsals for ‘Over the River and Through the Woods’ by Joe DiPietro. The show opens at the Earlville Opera House on Friday, May 15th at 7 p.m., with two Saturday shows at 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m.

The cast includes local favorites, Craig Natoli, Keven Simmons, Debi Pierce, David Dunham, Lori Crumb and Jada Kennedy. The show is directed by Colleen Law-Tefft with stage management by Ann Campbell, set design/dressing by Donna Moren, tech direction by Rick Thormahlen and lights and sound by Jeremy Loveland and Nova Frair, respectively.

The play is a warm-hearted, boisterously funny, and touching story about intergenerational relationships, deep familial love, and the inevitable little heartbreaks that occur as time passes and children grow. Everyone will be able to relate to the sometimes contentious, but loving and hilarious family relationships portrayed in the show. It is full of many comic, but real moments that resonate with any family. 

SMTS is pleased to be performing once again at the Earlville Opera House, 18 East Main St. in Earlville, where they are artists-in-residence.
