SIDNEY—The Oxford Blackhawks softball team took on Sidney in the first round of the MAC playoffs on Tuesday.

Oxford fell 14-8 to a tough Sabers team, who held the Blackhawks to just one hit on the day.

Lily Marshman had a two-out, two-run RBI single to help give Oxford a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.

Sidney went ahead 8-3 in the bottom half of the first and added on in the top of the third.

A wild pitch, errors, and a steal of home contributed to Oxford's other runs in the contest.

Lily Marshman went four and two thirds, allowing 14 runs (11 earned) on 12 hits, two walks, and five strikeouts.
