OXFORD— The Oxford Blackhawks softball team honored its class of 2026 seniors on Friday afternoon against Afton. Congratulations to Lily Marshman, Abby Stone, Peyton Cummings, Flanna Calkins, Colette Kappauf, Elizabeth Vincent, and Emmalee Reiss.

Oxford fell to the Crimson Knights 9-1.

Afton’s Jenna Wilson earned the win on the mound and struck out seven batters. Miranda Schultz went 1-for-3 with two RBIs as Rylee Rupakus drove in two runs as well with two hits.

Adleigh Noone, Kadence Racine and Jenna Wilson each added two hits and drove in three runs.

Megan Racine, McKenna Ross, Briella Fendick (RBI), and Makenna Schultz also picked up hits in the win.

Despite the loss, Oxford outhit Afton 8-6. Abby Stone and Cora Hodge both led the Blackhawks with two hits as Reagan Long drove in the team’s lone run in the bottom of the first.

Vincent, Jenna Denz and Cummings each had a hit in the loss.

Marshman went the complete game, allowing nine unearned runs on six hits, three walks, and struck out 11 batters.
