AFTON— The Afton Crimson Knights softball team hosted MAC league opponent Sidney on Monday, where Afton came away with a 17-16 victory in the high-scoring affair.

Jenna Wilson struck out seven batters in the win and also went 4-for-4 at the plate and scored five runs and drove in two RBIs.

Miranda Schultz went 2-for-2 with an RBI as Emilie Hopkins led the team with four RBIs.

Adleigh Noone drove in three runs while Makenna Schultz scored three runs and had a hit.

Rylee Rupakus went 2-for-4 at the plate and also had an assist at the plate on defense for a big out.

Afton (9-3, 5-3) heads to Greene on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
