H/A Baseball Falls To W/D

WALTON— The Harpursville/Afton baseball team traveled to take on Walton/Downsville on the road on Friday, where the Crimson Hornets fell 7-2.

After being down 7-0, Harpursville/Afton scored its two runs in the top of the fifth to avoid the shutout.

After back-to-back walks with one out, Liem Donahue brought both runners in on a one out double to left field.

Donahue and Andreus Juliussen had the only two hits for the Crimson Hornets in the loss.

Paul Shelton allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits, six walks, and struck out six batters through three innings. Davin Warren went three scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits and struck out four batters.

Harpursville/Afton (2-8, 1-4) hosts Oxford on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
