O-G Baseball Shuts Out Delhi In Wednesday’s Matchup

DELHI— On Wednesday, the Oxford-Greene baseball team traveled to take on MAC opponent Delhi on the road. O-G picked up its fourth win of the season in a 2-0 shutout victory.

O-G scored one run in the top of the first on a passed ball and a run in their final at-bats in the top of the seventh on another passed ball.

Nic Dodzweit led the team with two hits as Blake Barrows, Kiefer Evans, Aiden Carter, and Trent Drew each had one hit in the win.

Adam Beckwith and Blake Barrows pitched a beauty as Beckwith got the win, going six strong innings, allowing just two hits, five walks, and had one strikeout. Barrows finished the game, allowing one hit and had one strikeout as well.

Oxford-Greene sits in second in the MAC standings with a 4-1 league record and a 4-4 record overall on the season. O-G heads to Harpursville/Afton in Harpursville on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
