SIDNEY - We would like to invite everyone to join us for the opening reception of a new art exhibit featuring Meredith Foster, a Schoharie County-based artist whose work blends surrealism with the beauty and mystery of the natural world.
The reception will take place on Saturday, May 2, 1 to 3:30 p.m. in our Smart Community Room.
Working in charcoal, acrylics, fiber, and wood, Meredith creates deeply personal pieces exploring themes of transformation, emotion, and the connection between life and death. The exhibit will be available for viewing during regular library hours through May 29.
The Sidney library will be closed on Friday, May 15 for staff development day.
Saturday, May 23, 2 - 3:30 p.m. Scott Payne will present the next program, General Washington’s Continental Army A-Team: The Original B.A. (Benedict Arnold) in his history series commemorating America’s 250 birthday.
We are happy to announce that the Sidney Memorial Public Library is now a bus stop on Route 3 of the Chenango County Public Transit. This route goes through Norwich, Guilford, Sidney, Bainbridge, and Afton, with morning and afternoon times for their route Monday through Friday.
