WINDSOR— The Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team traveled to Windsor to start a three-game set with the Black Knights. Norwich dropped 10-0 on the road.
After two scoreless inning, Windsor got on the board in the bottom of the third inning before adding on in the fifth and sixth.
Norwich was held to four hits in the league matchup.
Joey Parker, Zack Parker, Pierce Sherman (double), and L Montgomery (double) had a hit while Zac Turner reached base twice on walks.
Carmine Pastore worked five innings on the mound for Norwich, where he allowed six runs (three earned) on three hits, three walks, and four strikeouts.
Owen Olds went a third of an inning, allowing four earned runs on two hits and four walks.
Joey Parker got the final two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, allowing a walk and struck out a batter to end the inning.
Norwich (2-8) gets right back in action this evening hosting the Black Knights for game two at 5 p.m.
