Greene Tennis Falls Short To Sidney

SIDNEY— The Greene Trojans tennis team faced Sidney on Monday afternoon, where they came up just short 3-2.

The Trojans picked up one point in the singles as Kenny Baucas defeated Chloe Van Der Sommen 6-2 and in a close 7-5 second set.

Shane Rideout fell to Erin Neubert 6-4 and 6-1 as Coben Kimble dropped to Damien Freudenmann int he third singles by scores of 6-3 and 6-2.

Dawson Kimble and Josiah Boel earned the victory over Gregory Bales and Brayden Strauss in the first doubles as both teams picked up sets before Kimble and Boel won the third set 6-4.

Benjamin Newvine and Laken Loveless fell to Matthew Greene and Dominick Johnson in the second doubles by two sets of 6-2.

Greene (1-2) hosts Bainbridge-Guilford on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
