O-G Baseball Falls To Non-league Opponent Sus Valley

CONKLIN— On Saturday night, the Oxford-Greene baseball team traveled to take on non-league opponent Sus Valley under the lights.

Oxford-Greene, in their second game of the season, fell 13-1.

O-G got on the board and scored its only run of the contest with an RBI single by Cooper Flanagan after Jackson Roth drew a one-out walk and stole second base.

The Sabers tied the game in the bottom half of the first inning before adding six runs in both the second and fifth innings.

O-G's Flanagan led the team with three hits and the one RBI as Cooper Davis had the team's only other hit in the loss.

Jackson Roth and Trent Drew both reached base on a walk while Drew also reached on a hit by pitch.

Cooper Davis started on the mound for O-G, going two innings, allowing seven runs (four earned) on four hits, three walks, and struck out three batters.

Blake Barrows relieved, going three innings, allowing six runs on four hits, two walks, and had two strikeouts.

O-G (1-1) heads to face non-league opponent Windsor on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
