HARPURSVILLE— The Afton Crimson Knights softball team came out victorious in a high scoring affair against MAC league opponent Walton/Downsville on Wednesday on the new turf in Harpursville.

The Crimson Knights earned the 26-11 victory.

Afton’s Charley-Rose Nickerson led the team with three hits and four RBIs, including a triple.

Miranda Schultz and Megan Racine both drove in two runs as Jenna Wilson had two hits and three RBIs.

Mckenna Ross, Kadence Racine, Alyssa Spathelf and Adleigh Noone all also had RBIs in the game. Emilie Hopkins, Makenna Schultz and Ariana Florance added six runs.

Wilson also struck out seven batters on the mound in the win.

Afton (1-1) hosts Franklin on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
