Outdoor Experience:
I have plenty of experience outdoors! Our family often goes camping and hiking in the summer and snowshoeing paths on our property in the winter. I completed the Catskill Fire Tower Challenge and a few Catskill High Peaks as well! Along with my brother and my sister, I also go geocaching- there’s some awesome caches in Wilbur Park! I also enjoy building stick shelters in the woods.

Description of Self:
I’d like to say I am a creative, outdoorsy kid. I love painting, crafting, and lots of doodling and drawing. I think I am a good fit for the scholarship because I hope to gain knowledge of the Adirondacks and of fixing up trails! It would be awesome to meet other nature loving people as well.

Outdoor Experience:
I have some experience in the outdoors. Many hikes including The Catskill Fire Tower Challenge, Kaaterskill High Peak, Balsam Lake (and in the winter), and Hunter Mountain. Plus I enjoy lots of camping! A few of them are Letchworth State Park, Robert Treman State Park, Rollins Pond, and North South Lake. There’s a fun geocache there that you have to kayak to an island in the lake to find! Besides that, I enjoy snowshoeing, and various adventures in the wild! I enjoy fort-building with friends and exploring the woods behind my house. I like learning about wild plants and edibles I can find out in nature as well.

Description of Self:
I’m more of an outdoorsy type and would very much enjoy tenting out in the campground; a whole glorious three days out in the woods! Plus getting to know a few other like-minded folk would be great too! I hope to gain some experience with trail repair and such, as I do enjoy walking on trails myself.

Congratulations Hazel and Willow.
