Norwich Flag Football Improves To 2-0 On The Season In Big Win Over Forks

BINGHAMTON— The Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ flag football team traveled to take on Chenango Forks for the second game of the 2026 season. Norwich returned home with a big 32-7 victory.

A big chunk of those 32 points came in the second half as the Purple Tornado scored 19 unanswered points.

Josey Ryan had five total touchdowns in the victory, including a 46-yard punt return for a touchdown, two passing and two rushing touchdowns.

Ryan finished 10-for-14 in passing for 79 yards with two touchdowns, and rushed for 151 yards with two touchdowns.

Brooklyn Burke and Brynley Ryan each caught one receiving touchdown as Ryan also rushed for 59 yards.

Daphney Frank came up with a big interception on defense in the win.

Norwich (2-0, 1-0 in division) heads to Johnson City on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
