SHERBURNE – February brought with it bitterly cold temperatures, which led to higher electricity usage throughout much of the northeast. For residents throughout New York State, this has caused sticker shock on regular utility bills.
For residents on Sherburne Electric, this shock was no different. “This winter has been bitter cold combined with wind resulting in high heat costs. If you heat with electricity, especially baseboard electric resistance heat, you will see a high bill in March,” Sherburne Mayor William Acee cautioned.
