SHERBURNE— The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys’ basketball team hosted South Lewis in a Section III, Class B first round sectionals game. S-E avenged an overtime loss to the Falcons earlier in the season with a close 44-41 victory when it mattered most. The Timberwolves outscored South Lewis 16-11 late in the game to secure the victory.
Cam Mann led the team with 11 points as Jordan Palmer and Kyler Buschor both added eight points.
Bryce Bevilacqua and Nolan Sigman both had seven points and Tomek Jusianiec hit a three in the second quarter.
S-E advances to take on the number one seeded Marcellus on Saturday at 1 p.m.
