DRYDEN--The Greene Trojans girls’ basketball team needed to win out the remaining games on the 2025-26 regular season schedule and they did just that. The Lady Trojans defeated both Harpursville and Dryden to qualify for the Section IV, Class C tournament under first year head coach Matt Davern.
Greene defeated Dryden 51-37 on Tuesday night, where Mia Yahner came away with yet another double-double in back-to-back games. Yahner led the team with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Mya Leggett-Carlin added 12 points and eight rebounds while Kaitlyn Youngs finished with 10 points.
Ahraya Whitt and Hailey Butler both had five steals while Lexi Cloyd finished with four steals in the win.
Greene (8-12) awaits their first round sectionals game.
