GILBERTSVILLE - The Gilbertsville Fire Department recently submitted their annual reports and held annual elections.
The fire department responded to a total of 46 tone calls in 2025 and department members logged over 1500 work-hours. The calls consisted of fires, MVA’s, trees down, wires down, auto alarms, CO alarms and mutual aid.
Department election results are as follows: Chief, David Robinson; 1st Assistant Chief, Mike Tiffany; 2nd Assistant Chief, Nate Tiffany; Captain, Kyle Short; 1st Lieutenant Joe Card, 2nd Lieutenant George Polyzos; President, Joel Perkosky; Vice President, Dave Haynes; Treasurer, Scot Lueck; Secretary, Dawn Wheeler; Captain of Fire Police, Dawn Wheeler; Chaplain, Reverend Randy Palada. Board of Trustees: Jim Pochy, Jim VanDusen, and Joel Perkosky.
Emergency Squad captain Steve Gayle reports that the squad responded to 110 calls in 2025 with a total of 219 work-hours and 1,464 miles. Squad election results are as follows: Captain: Steve Gayle, Lieutenant Training Officer: Joel Perkosky, Lieutenant Equipment Officer: Scot Lueck, Board of Directors Representative: Steve Gayle, Treasurer: Joel Perkosky, Secretary: Deanna Perkosky.
The Gilbertsville Fire Department and Emergency Squad would like to thank the community for another year of donations from district residents. These donations are extremely beneficial to assist with maintenance and upgrades of our equipment.
