SYRACUSE— The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves wrestling team traveled to Onondaga Community College over the weekend to compete in the Section III, Division II Wrestling Championships at the SRC Arena. Overall, S-E came in ninth place as a team with 74.5 points.

Drew Telesky became a two-time Sectional Champion at 103 pounds with a 3-0 record, including defeating teammate Freddy Smith, who took second, in a 16-4 major decision.

Congratulations, Drew.

Trenton Anderson finished fourth at 150 pounds with a record of 3-2, including two wins by decisions and a 10-2 major decision.

Andrew LaFrance went 2-2 at 118 pounds with a 2:05 pin and a win by tech fall.

Alex Campbell went 1-2 with his only win against Holland Patent’s Ricky Jones in a 1:32 pin.

Richie Fuller also finished 1-2 at 190 pounds, where his only win came against Camden’s William Kantor in a 4:18 pin.

Manny Hollins, Jonathan Conklin, Noah Ackermann, Andrew Menard, Justin Race, and Aiden Shreve all fell in their respective weight classes.
