NORWICH - In the early morning hours of Thursday, February 12, officers from the City of Norwich Police Department responded to a reported domestic dispute on Henry Street in the City of Norwich.

Norwich Police reported an investigation led to the arrest of Ross M. Grew, age 51, of Norwich, for fourth degree criminal mischief, for allegedly damaging property within the residence, a misdemeanor.

Grew was transported to the Norwich Police Department and placed into the booking area pending arraignment.

“While in booking, the suspect exhibited violent outbursts toward officers and intentionally defecated throughout the booking room, including on the walls and floor, and smeared feces on surfaces and on himself. The actions rendered a substantial portion of the booking area inoperable,” reported Police Chief Scott Burlison.
