NORWICH— In a physical rivalry game on Wednesday, the Purple Tornado dropped a 59-43 decision to Oneonta. Despite a gritty effort to keep pace with the STAC East leaders, Norwich couldn't erase an early deficit. The team now looks to regroup and protect home court in their next outing.

Aiden Young led Norwich with 14 points as Kassen Stubb added 13 points and Carmine Pastore with eight points in the loss.

Norwich (13-5) hosts Johnson City on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
