CORTLAND COUNTY - On November 25, 2025, at approximately 9:01 a.m., New York State Police at Homer responded to a report of a deceased woman located on West Road near railroad tracks in the town of Cortlandville.

The woman has been identified as Robin Bowman, 59, of Findlay, Ohio. The investigation determined that Ms. Bowman had been living in her vehicle in the Cortlandville area prior to being located.

An autopsy revealed that Ms. Bowman’s death was the result of exposure to the elements, causing hypothermia.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the New York State Police Forensic Identification Unit, TLC Ambulance, and the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
