“Unfortunately, we had a few participants cancel due to illness. But we had a great time with those who could attend.” Said library director Michelle Priola. “We have set up a make-up session for Monday, February 9 at 5 pm for those who missed the session or anyone who wants to join.”
A family art class will take place on Wednesday, February 25 at 5 p.m. Member of the whole family are invited to construct and paint gnome paintbrush ornaments. Participants will paint a gnomes’ hat on the handle of the paint brush and the beard on the ferrule and bristles of the paintbrush. Wooden hearts, felt, ribbon, snowflakes, jewels and flowers will be available to decorate the gnomes’ hats. Please check out the New Berlin Library Facebook page and website to more information. There will be step by step hands on instructions and help. Children five and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

“We are trying something new with some of our art classes.” stated a library staff member. “Instead of strictly children’s art classes we have been trying family art classes. This allows the whole family to participate in the program and stretch their artistic muscles. It is so important for children and parents to create art together. The New Berlin Library are happy to offer opportunities for these family activities.”
