NORWICH— The Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ basketball team hosted Owego Free Academy in a STAC league matchup on Tuesday. The Purple Tornado came away with a comfortable 73-46 win.

It was the second consecutive game that Norwich had scored 72 points or more offensively. Norwich had scored 72 points in the previous game against Waverly this past Friday.

Brynley Ryan led the Purple Tornado with 21 points, where she knocked down three three-pointers.

Josey Ryan followed with 20 points, also adding three three’s.

Emma Urgo netted 11 points as both Brooklyn Burke and Kerragan Reid finished with seven points in the win.

Norwich improves to 10-2 on the season and heads to face non-league opponent Walton/Downsville this evening at 7 p.m.
