Local Indoor Track Teams Compete At Finger Lakes Invitational

ITHACA— On Sunday, the Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville, Norwich, Oxford-Greene, and Unadilla Valley indoor track teams traveled to Cornell University in Ithaca to compete in the Finger Lakes Invitational.

BGAH:

Girls' Track:

Maddie Ingham earned a fourth place finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:13.81 as teammate Ariana Nieves finished 47th with a time of 4:35.61.

Isabel Suda, Solara Spinella, and Shweta Fazio all competed in the 1500 meter race walk for BGAH, where Suda took fifth with a time of 9:40.12, Spinella in ninth with a time of 10:38.36, and Fazio in 11th with a time of 11:45.33.

Jenna Wilson came in 22nd in the 600 meter run with a time of 2:03.42 as Madi Beardslee ran to a 25th place finish with a time of 2:10.37.

Madisyn Larsen finished 20th in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 10.91 seconds as Macey LaFever came in 28th place in the 1500 meter run with a time of 6:29.15.

Larsen also came in seventh in the 300 meter dash with a time of 45.72 seconds.

Girls' Fielding:

Appalonia Bushaw took second in the girls' long jump with a jump of 16 feet, 10 and a quarter inches, behind the leader's 17-2.50.

Teammate Brooklinn Hall came in 19th in the long jump with a jump of 13 feet, one and a quarter inches.

Hall and Elanor Sprow both competed in the triple jump with Sprow in 14th with a jump of 27 feet, six inches and Hall behind her in 15th (27-1).

Bushaw took third in the high jump, where she cleared four feet, 11 inches.

Tori Suda took fifth in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet, seven inches as Marissa Mayo followed in sixth place with a throw of 31 feet, three and a quarter inches.

Suda won the girls' weight throw event with a top throw of 35 feet, nine and 3/4 inches as Emilie Hopkins finished 10th with a throw of 25-3.75.

Boys' Track:

Harpo Hardt led the BGAH boys with a first place finish in the 55 meter hurdles with the fastest time of 8.15 seconds.

Sophomore Owen Degan came in fourth place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:05.14 while Junior Rowan Beasinger finished 14th with a time of 11:40.25.

Brennan Andres, Dominick Cutting, Owen Degan, and Mason Lans finished 14th as a team in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 11:35.10.

Sean Fowler and Connor Rowe both ran the 1000 meters, where Fowler finished 15th with a time of 2:53.67 and Rowe in 43rd with a time of 4:08.69.

Theo Loya finished 44th out of 65 male competitors in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.78 seconds.

Brennan Andres and Dominick Cutting both ran in the 600 meters, where Andres finished 41st with a time of 1:50.34 with Cutting right behind him in 42nd with a time of 1:51.

Ethan Beardslee and Mason Lans both ran the 1600 with Beardslee in 31st with a time of 5:26.36 and Lans in 53rd (6:05.03).

Camren Cuozzo finished 35th in the 300 meter dash with a time of 44.19 seconds with Davis Barnard in 44th with a time of 46.76 seconds.

Boys' Fielding:

Aside from winning the 55 meter hurdles, Harpo Hardt also won the boys' triple jump with a jump of 41 feet, nine and 3/4 inches. Rj Dalmida finished 19th with a jump of 29 feet, nine and a quarter inches.

Ethan Beardslee finished 13th in th high jump, where he cleared five feet, one inch.

Ryan Larsen took ninth in the shot put with a throw of 40 feet and a half inches. Cj Closs finished 28th with a throw of 32 feet, one inch.

Matthew Wombacker earned a 10th place finish in the pole valut, clearing nine feet.

Larsen came in 13th place in the weight throw with a throw of 35 feet, six and a half inches as Closs finished 23rd (27-9).

NHS:

Boys' Track:

Nic Sutton led the Purple Tornado boys with an eighth place finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:46.23.

Cameron Carnachan finished 16th in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.08 seconds with teammate Malik Eccleston in 35th with a time of 7.36 seconds.

Connor Marshall took fourth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.74 seconds as Joseph Hall finished 27th in the 300 meter dash with a time of 42.61 seconds.

Carnachan, Eccleston, Hall, and Sutton ran to a fourth place finish as a team in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:40.10.

Boys' Fielding:

Connor Marshall came in 12th place in the boys' long jump with a jump of 17 feet, 10 and 3/4 inches.

Kaden Downey won the boys' weight throw with a best throw of 63 feet, seven and 3/4 inches and finished 11th in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, four and a half inches.

Liam White finished 10th in the weight throw with a throw of 43-0.75.

Girls' Track:

McKenzie Hagenbuch earned a 10th place finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:27.91.

Carolyn Wright and Nora Collins both competed in the 55 meter dash, where Wright finished 41st with a time of 8.86 seconds with Collins in 51st with a time of 9.23 seconds.

Malea Sutton ran to a 32nd finish in the 600 with Laci Zieno in 44th with a time of 2:40.83.

Natalie Phillips finished 29th in the 1500 meters with a time of 6:29.17.

Ava Cirigliano took fifth in the 300 meter dash with a time of 45.23 seconds as Olivia Palmer finished 52nd with a time of 1:06.95.

Ava Cirigliano, Bri Cirigliano, Tristan Monroe, and Layla Root came in fourth place as a team in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:59.10.

Girls' Fielding:

Tristan Monroe finished 21st in the girls' long jump with a jump of 12 feet, 10 and 3/4 inches.

Natalie Phillips and Samantha Palmer both competed in the shot put, where Phillips finished 23rd with a throw of 24 feet exactly as Palmer threw for 19 feet, eight and 3/4 inches for 33rd place.

Olivia Palmer finished 12th in the weight throw with a throw of 24-0.50.

O-G:

Girls' Track:

Ellie Beadle ran in both the 600 and 1000 meters. Beadle came in 38th in the 600 with a time of 2:28.91 and finished 46th in the 1000 meter run with a time of 4:34.29.

Amani Amin finished 33rd in the 300 meter dash with a time of 52.34 seconds

Girls' Fielding:

Amani Amin came in 19th place in the girls' triple jump with a jump of 25 feet, three and a half inches

Boys' Track:

Gordon Smith took second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:30.87, behind the leader's 4:24.78.

Keegan Waltz came in second in the 300 meter dash with a time of 36.56 seconds, behind the leader's 36.31 seconds.

Teammate Eddie Golden finished 18th in the same event with a time of 41.53 seconds.

Golden, Dawson Viele, Liam Philippone, and Sherman Ludolph came in seventh place as a team in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:44.02.

Golden, Smith, Waltz, and Liam Griffin finished eighth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:53.73.

Sherman Ludolph came in 15th in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:34.21

Dawson Viele finished 40th in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.61 seconds.

Boys' Fielding:

Keegan Waltz took fourth in the boys' high jump as he cleared five feet, 10 inches.

Liam Philippone earned a 10th place finish in the boys' triple jump with a jump of 36 feet, 11 and a quarter inches.

Isaac Utter competed in both the shot put and the weight throw.

Utter took ninth in the weight throw with a throw of 44-0.25 and came in 16th place in the shot put with a throw of 36-4.75.

Liam Griffin also threw in the weight throw, where he finished 16th with a throw of 34-4.25.

UV:

Girls' Track:

Margaret Kemnah, Madison Dix, Molly Gorrell, and Natalya Schrag took fifth as a team in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 11:00.28.

Natalya Schrag took ninth in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:27.62 with teammate Margaret Kemnah in 18th with a time of 3:40.33.

Cheyenne McMahon finished 24th in the 55 meter dash with a time of 8.40 seconds as Piper Hine came in 45th with a time of 8.95 seconds.

Marasynn Bates earned an eighth place finish in the 1500 meter race walk with a time of 10:20.91.

Madison Dix ran to a seventh place finish in the 600 meters with a time of 1:51.11 as Molly Gorrell came in ninth with a time of 1:52.94.

Andrea Favinger came in eighth in the 1500 with a time of 5:34.71 with Sydnee Studer in 34th (6:45.43).

McMahon and Noelle Fernandez-Naughton both competed in the 300 meter dash, where Fernandez-Naughton came in 11th place with a time of 46.55 seconds and McMahon in 29th (50.73 seconds).

Girls' Fielding:

Piper Hine came in 23rd in the girls' long jump with a jump of 12 feet, seven and 3/4 inches as Noelle Fernandez-Naughton finished 12th in the triple jump with a jump of 28 feet, 10 inches.

Boys' Track:

Ben Kemnah came in 28th place in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:41.34.

Jake Favinger just missed the top 10 in the 1600 with an 11th place finish with a time of 5:02.05.

Kemnah and Killian Wood both competed in the 300 meter dash, where Kemnah finished 22nd with a time of 41.70 seconds as Wood came in 36th with a time of 44.38 seconds.

Thomas Harrington finished 61st of 65 male competitors in the boys' 55 meter dash with a time of 9.91 seconds.
