HOMER— The Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville-Chenango Valley, Oxford-Greene, Norwich and Sherburne-Earlville girls’ wrestling teams competed in the Homer Lady Legacy Tournament on Saturday.

O-G came in 10th place with 48 points as S-E finished 13th with 41.5 points and BGAH-CV in 14th out of 24 teams with 40.5 points. Norwich finished 24th with nine points.

O-G had three wrestlers place as Lily Karn finished fourth at 152 pounds, Mira Gaylord took fifth at 126 pounds, and Joyce Coston finished seventh at 126 pounds.

Sherburne-Earlville had all three wrestlers place with Avangelene Hoffman in third place at 185 pounds, Isabelle Smith in sixth at 145 pounds, and Ava Mereness in seventh at 120 pounds.

BGAH-CV had Madison Farberman and Lily Shaver place with Farberman in third at 94 pounds and Shaver in fourth at 107 pounds. Norwich’s Aurora Smith came in sixth place at 165 pounds.

Maggie Braman: 1-2 at 114 pounds, only win in a 14-8 decision against Baldwinville’s Camrynn Sheldon.

Joyce Coston: finished seventh with 3-2 record at 126 pounds; won by 1:06 pin, 1:09 pin, and by a 4:49 pin. Lost to teammate Mira Gaylord by 2:40 pin.

Mira Gaylord: took fifth at 126 with a 3-1 record; defeated teammate Coston in a 2:40 pin, also achieved a 1:51 win by pin, and a 2:12 pin.

Christina Greene: 0-2 at 165 pounds

Lily Karn: fourth place at 152 with a 2-2 record; won by a quick :42 pin and by a 1:13 pin.

Keisey Marty Franqui: 0-2 at 120 pounds; fell to BGAH-CV’s Gracie Bagg in a 10-0 tech fall.

Brayleigh Mustin: 1-2 at 120 pounds; defeated Norwich’s Emma Hughes in a :23 pin.

S-E:

Avangelene Hoffman: third place at 185 pounds with a 3-1 record; won by a :11 pin, by a :17 pin, and by a 3:24 pin.

Ava Mereness: seventh place at 120 pounds with a 4-2 record; won by three 10-0 tech falls and by a 3:28 pin.

Isabelle Smith: sixth place at 145 pounds with a 2-2 record; defeated BGAH-CV’s Bea Genovesi in a 2:40 pin and also won by a 1:30 pin.

BGAH-CV:

Gracie Bagg: 2-2 at 120 pounds; won by 10-0 tech fall against O-G’s Franqui.

Madison Farberman: third at 94 pounds with a 3-1 record; won by two tech falls and a 1:48 pin.
