SHERBURNE— On Thursday evening, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves girls’ basketball team honored its lone senior Savanna Hook prior to the game against Sauquoit Valley. Congratulations, Savanna.
S-E fell short 51-45 to the Red Hawks, which snapped S-E’s six-game win streak.
S-E led by eight points early on and by four points in the third quarter but the Red Hawks took control in the back-and-forth battle to secure the victory.
Abbie Green led S-E with a double-double, where she had a team-high 18 points and 11 rebounds. She also led the team with three blocks.
Morgan Mikalunas added 14 points, where she had four three’s and added eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Cora Franklin finished with seven points and six rebounds as Natalie Knickerbocker had two three’s for six points.
S-E (10-6) hosts Hamilton on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
