B-G Girls Come Away With Close Win Against Unatego On The Road

OTEGO— The Bainbrige-Guilford Bobcats girls’ basketball team traveled to take on tough MAC league opponent Unatego on Thursday night. B-G came away with the close 36-34 win.

Both teams played aggressive defense, which limited offenses in the first and fourth quarters.

B-G was held to a single field-goal in the first quarter, which was by Tori Suda, before the Bobcats picked up the pace in the second quarter.

Unatego led most of the first half, taking a brief 19-14 lead at halftime before B-G flipped things around in the third quarter.

B-G came out strong in the second half outscoring the Spartans 14-7 and then both teams were held to eight quarter points in the final eight minutes.

Kamry Patten led the Lady Bobcats with 13 points with three three-pointers.

Tori Suda added nine points in the first three quarters with five points in the third.

Jalyn Winans finished with five points as Emma Kinter (all free-throws), Jayslin Henderson, and Marissa Mayo all had three points each. Henderson also had a team-high 11 rebounds as Tori Suda finished with nine rebounds in the win.

B-G (14-1) heads to Harpursville on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
