STOCKBRIDGE— The Otselic Valley Vikings boys’ basketball team traveled to Stockbridge to take on the Cougars in a league match-up. OV came up short 65-62 in the high-scoring affair.
The Vikings struggled in the first half, which hurt their chances and had to fight back in the second half, but came up short with not enough time.
Lukas Schieferstein led OV with 30 points with four three-pointers and went six-for-nine at the free-throw line.
Caleb Loomis finished with 18 points with four steals, which led the team.
Tommy Kenyon added seven points with a team-high of nine rebounds and he went three-for-four at the free-throw line.
Owen Davis had five points and two assists as Logan Foster made two free-throws.
OV (8-7) hosts McGraw on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
