OV Boys Post 90 Points At Home Against George Jr. Republic

SOUTH OTSELIC—The Otselic Valley Vikings boys' basketball team added an non-league contest to their schedule as they took on a new opponent, George Jr. Republic. The George Jr. Republic Hawks hail from Grove City, PA, where it is an all-boys private school.

OV posted 90 points against the Hawks in a 90-53 victory. The Vikings excelled from start to finish, outscoring George Jr. Republic 43-21 at halftime.

Lukas Schieferstein led the Vikings with 30 points and had five rebounds, two assists and two steals. The senior is very close to the 1000 point mark with six regular season games remaining. According to his High School Sports Stats player profile, Schieferstein is at 942 career points, counting from Wednesday night's game.

Owen Davis added 21 points, where he hit three three-pointers and made six-of-seven free-throws.

Caleb Loomis had 19 points, a team-high eight assists, nine steals, four rebounds, and two three-pointers.

Logan Foster finished with eight points, three rebounds, two steals, and was two-for-two at the free-throw line.

Alex Doroshenko had six points, including two three-pointers, and four rebounds.

Konyr Clemens added a basket, three rebounds, and a block in the win.

OV (8-6) heads to Stockbridge Valley on Friday at 7 p.m.
