MILFORD —After hosting their own tournament that concluded last Monday, the Unadilla Valley Storm girls’ basketball team competed in the Milford Anton Remy tournament over the weekend. UV fell in the opening round to Cherry Valley-Springfield and defeated Madison in the consolation game on Saturday.
Friday:

After a slow start in the first half, the Storm cannot make an overall comeback in the second half despite a good turnaround from Shyla Roberts and the offense. Cherry Valley also had three players reach double-digit scoring that could not be stopped. Shyla Roberts led the Storm with 15 points, including 10 in the final quarter. Allisyn Daniell finished with 12 points. Kora Johnson had five points in the second and third quarters. Myriah Taylor had two baskets in the first quarter as Taylor Hitt had a basket in the third quarter.
Saturday:
UV 47- Madison 28
The Lady Storm faced Madison for the second time this season, after defeating the Blue Devils in the consolation game of the Sherburne-Earlville weeks prior. UV went 2-0 against the non-league opponent as Shyla Roberts, Kora Johnson, and Myriah Taylor led the Storm with double-digits.
Taylor led the Storm with 14 points, staying consistent throughout the contest as Roberts posted a double-double with 11 points and 22 rebounds. Johnson finished with 10 points.
Daniell added six points as Hitt had four and Olivia Watson with a two off the bench.
Roberts and Myriah Taylor both made the all-tournament team.
