O-G Wrestling Takes Fifth At Elinsky Memorial Tournament

DEPOSIT— The Oxford-Greene Wrestling team finished fifth at Deposit’s Stan Elinsky Memorial tournament on Saturday.

Kade Mustin led the team by winning the 132 weight class at the meet, going 5-0. He had two wins by tech fall, two wins by pins, and won by a 11-1 major decision.

Troy Braman took third at 150 with three wins by pins, including a :32 second pin against Sidney’s Ian Macpherson. Braman lost to Maine-Endwell’s Jerry Harman in a 2:55 pin.

Urijah Dibble also finished third with four wins and one loss at 285 pounds. He picked up three pins and a 3-1 win by decision.

Tallan Davis came in fifth at 190, where he finished 1-4 with his only win by :33 pin against Johsnon City’s Aden Koedatich.

Colton Hurlbert took fifth at 110 with three wins and two losses. He had a :14 pin against Rondout Valley’s Tyler Torreggiani, won by 3:37 pin and won by tech fall against Newark Valley’s Avery Davis.

Collin Morlando took fifth at 144 with two wins and two losses. He defeated teammate Evan Johnson in a :59 pin.

David Dunckel went 2-3 at 215 pounds and placed seventh, with two wins by pin, including a :50 pin against Rondout Valley’s Christian Truppi.

Evan Johnson finished eighth at 144 pounds, going 1-4 with his lone win in a 1:07 pin against Eldred-Sullivan West’s Mary Kate Norris. O-G’s Cameron Smith went 0-4, but finished eighth at 126 pounds.

Dawson Parks went 3-2 at 132 pounds, but did not place. He picked up three wins by pin.

Anthony Bourn went 2-2 in the 138 weight class with a win by medical forfeit and a close 14-12 decision.

Donte Wrench also went 2-2 at 285 pounds, but did not place. He had two wins by pin, including a :16 pin against Eldred-Sullivan West’s Liam Bernas.

Zyden Johnson went 0-4 at 150 pounds.
