NEW HARTFORD - The Utica and Mohawk Valley Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will meet on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church on French Road in the Town of New Hartford.
There will be a business portion conducted by either President Harry Lenz or Vice President Bradford Paulson with reports on the Adirondack Railroad, the Schuyler Street Switch Tower, the Toy Train Collectors’ Society Toy Train Meet at Utica Union Station, the Amherst Railway Society Model Train Show in Springfield, MA, possible Amtrak trips, the chapter banquet, along with many more activities and projects ahead for us in the coming months.
After the break, Utica and Mohawk Valley Chapter, NRHS Vice President Bradford Paulson will have a DVD presentation called Victorian Iron Horse Roundup which is produced by Kalmbach Video. The DVD will feature plenty of classic 19th Century Narrow Gauge steam locomotives running on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Tourist Railroad in Colorado.
These locomotives will take you back to the days when the western United States was starting to grow with the building of many railroads in that era. This meeting is open to anyone who is interested in railroads, narrow gauge railroads, the railroads of the western United States and railroad history. We invite guests attending our meeting the opportunity to join our chapter as regular members. We would also like to invite all active and retired railroad personnel to our meeting as well.
