OV Boys Pick Up Big Win Over Fabius-Pompey

SOUTH OTSELIC — The Otselic Valley Vikings boys’ basketball team hosted the Fabius-Pompey Falcons on Monday night, where the Vikings earned the 78-49 victory.

The Vikings led by seven points at halftime with both teams making runs in a highly competitive game. The Vikings went off in the second half, putting up 44 points in the 16 minutes. OV held the Falcons to nine points in the final quarter.

Lukas Schieferstein went off with 33 points for the Vikings, making 15-of-22 field goals and went three-for-seven at the free-throw line.

Owen Davis helped Schieferstein out with 17 points, including two three-pointers, six rebounds, four assists, and a team-high 14 steals to post a double-double.

Caleb Loomis finished with nine points, all three’s, and had seven rebounds and a team-high seven assists.

Alex Doroshenko and Tommy Kenyon both added six points as Kenyon also had nine rebounds to lead the team.

Tristyn Lynch had a three as Logan Foster and Eric Rawson both added two points each in the win.

OV (3-2) heads to the Fabius-Pompey tournament on December 29 and 30, where they will face Morrisville-Eaton in the first round.
