NORWICH - On Monday, December 15, 'The Trophy Guy, Awards & More' cut the ribbon on their new store location.
After moving to 25 South Broad Street, the former site of McNeil Jewelers, the Mack Family invited the public to celebrate their expansion.
Sal Testani, Commerce Chenango President & CEO states, “We are very pleased the Mack Family has made this investment in Downtown Norwich and in their business, The Trophy Guy. Their investment will help ensure the continued revitalization in Norwich. We wish them nothing but success.”
Dave, Kim, and Dylan Mack of Mack Family Enterprise LLC acquired the Trophy Guy from Michael Chase in 2022. Dylan Mack shadowed Michael Chase for months and took the helm after graduating college.
Since the Macks have purchased the company, their offerings have expanded from medals, trophies, crystal and acrylic awards and plaques to include personalized glassware, cups, mugs, and many other unique gift items. The Trophy Guy currently provides corporate awards, retirement/service awards for local businesses, as well as academic and athletic awards for local schools and colleges. They have also engraved custom glassware for many local restaurants.
As one of the few trophy and award businesses in Upstate New York, the company provides services for many businesses all over Central New York. The Mack Family has purchased a building downtown to be the permanent home of The Trophy Guy Awards & More. According to Kim Mack, Owner, the building has “given us the opportunity to better display the products we provide, it gives us the opportunity to further invest into the community we call home.”
Mack continues, “Being the daughter of a former local business owner, I know how important it is to support local businesses. They keep our economy thriving. We were raised as kids to shop local first as those business owners may have been the ones putting dinner on our table. Although it may be easier to sit at home at night or at your desk during the day and order something online, think of the impact that has (or doesn't have) on your hometown. Tell us your ideas, give us your budget, and we will do everything we can to make it work.”
The Trophy Guy Awards & More is researching ways to expand services and encourages the community to stop in to see their new location and offerings.
They are open Monday - Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-2, and are available by appointment, scheduled with Dylan at 607-316-0807. Follow them on Facebook at Trophy Guy and Sports Connection.
