BAINBRIDGE - The Rotary Club of Bainbridge welcomed Ben Kettor as a guest speaker, accompanied by visiting Rotarian Ken Wilcox of the Binghamton Breakfast Rotary Club.
Ben has partnered with the club on several international efforts supported by the David and Judy Derr Memorial Fund, including the construction and delivery of school desks for students in Liberia.
The club voted to donate $1,300 from the Derr Memorial Fund toward Ben’s next desk-building project. The Rotary Club of Unadilla added $200, creating a two-club contribution of $1,500 to help manufacture new desks for Liberian classrooms.
Ben, a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, is President and CEO of Destiny Hands International. He is originally from Foya, Lofa County, Liberia, and among other things, his partnerships with Rotary have helped build durable desks that give children a safe and supportive place to learn.
The Rotary Club of Bainbridge is proud to support Ben and this tradition of international service.
