S-E Wrestlers Take Fifth At Penfield-Hunter Holiday Tournament

PENFIELD—On Saturday, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves Wrestling team traveled to Penfield to compete in the 2025 Penfield-Hunter Holiday Tournament. S-E took fifth with 95 points as Horseheads took first with 151.5 points.

Drew Telesky went unbeaten at the tournament, taking home first place in the 103 weight class. He earned three wins by pin and two tech falls.

Noah Ackerman took third at the tournament as he went 3-1 in the 150 weight class. He defeated his teammate Jonathan Conklin in a 5-1 decision and won by pin and in an injury defeat. His only loss on the day was in a 4-3 decision against Livonia's Zachary Yamin.

Josh Evans also came in third as he went 4-1 in the 126 weight class. He picked up two wins by pin, a major decision, and won in a close 8-6 decision against Livonia's Tanner Mathews. He lost to Jordan-Elbridge-PB-CM-US' Mason Tanner in a 1:07 pin.

Andrew LaFrance took third in the 118 weight class, going 3-2. He had two wins by pin and won by major decision.

Trenton Anderson went 2-2 with no placement in the 157 weight class. He won by tech fall and in a 7-1 decision against Brighton's Grayson Lundy.

Alex Campbell also went 2-2 and did not place. He earned two wins by pin.

Jonathan Conklin picked up one win in a 1:47 pin agaunst Greece's Joseph Gray, but fell in his other two matches.

Richard Fuller defeated Dansville's Noah Jennings in a 2:06 pin and fell in his other two matches in the 190 weight class.

Manny Hollins went 2-2 with a win by tech fall and a 1:26 pin agaisnt North Rose-Wolcott's Jaudiel Lopez.

Aiden Shreve fell in both matches in the 126 weight class.
