OXFORD — The 62nd annual Clyde Cole Tournament will start this evening and will continue throughout Saturday, including the final rounds in the evening, at Oxford High School.
The tournament is set to feature local Oxford-Greene, Norwich, Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville, and Sherburne-Earlville returns this year to the tournament. Averill-Park, Canastota, Carthage, Chenango Forks, Chenango Valley, Cobleskill-Richmondville, Johnson City, Marathon, Queensbury, Shenendehowa, Sidney, Spencer-Van Etten/Candor, Vestal, and Walton/Delhi will have wrestlers in attendance as well.
Norwich’s Maverick Beckwith represented all local area teams in the finals last yea as a Sophomore and won in the 131 weight class and even won his 100th career match there as well.
Beckwith returns as a junior, looking to win another Clyde Cole jacket and medal again, this time in the 157 weight class.
Full results will be on flowrestling.org under the event to follow brackets and wrestlers. If attending the event, admission will be charged at the door. There will be concessions in the Cafeteria.
