GREENE—The Greene Trojans boys' basketball team welcomed Section III's Cincinnatus on Thursday night, playing in back-to-back games. Greene breathed a sigh of relief as they regrouped and secured a high-scoring 75-43 victory.
Greene powered through with dropping 31 points in the second quarter before the break with Keegan Waltz, John Mulroy, Eli Eggleston, Jacob Eroshevich, Liam Clark with a big three, Jackson Roth, and Lee Dopp all making it happen.
The Trojans added 20 more points after the break, adding Cooper Davis and Gabe Bennett into the mix then slowed things down in the fourth quarter with all seven points by Clark.
Cincinnatus only had one real threat with a key player dropping at least 23 points. Otherwise, Greene played a solid defense.
Waltz led Greene with 19 points as Mulroy finished with 12. Eggleston and Clark both finished with 11 points.
Eroshevich added eight points while Davis netted six and Dopp with four points off the bench.
