OXFORD - The Oxford American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) of Fort Hill Post #376 has proudly announced they’re hosting their first Holiday Craft Fair on Small Business Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The ALA is honored to be joining Promote Oxford NOW’s Shop Hop alongside other businesses and eateries in the Village. There will be 16 craft vendors, hot food, and a basket for the Shop Hop raffle. 

“The Legion’s dining hall is a perfect space for craft exhibitors” said Fair coordinator, April Davis, “and we have a wide range of diverse, and unique offerings from talented artisans.” 

To name just a few items, there’s everything from modern computer printed mugs; 3D acrylic prints, and articulated 3D printed resin reptiles. There’s also traditional hand crochet and knit items, sports team gnomes, and intricate Native American beaded earrings. For the home there’s soy candles, watercolor paintings, laser engraved cutting boards, net and grapevine wreaths, and a whole lot more!   

If all that walking around Oxford and holiday shopping has you tired and hungry, there’s some comfort food being offered in the “ALA Café”: Homemade Chili, gooey Mac-n-Cheese, and hearty Beef and Vegetable Soup. There will also be baked cookies and breads. 

Proceeds benefit the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary. The historic Fort Hill Post #376 is located at 17 S. Washington Avenue. The Oxford Shop Hop in Oxford, is an event for Small Business Saturday on November 29th, encouraging support for local businesses through a shopping and raffle event. Participants can pick up a free shopping stamp “bookmark” at a welcome tent on Lafayette Park, from 9-11:30 am, to be entered to win raffle baskets by getting punches at participating stores. Leave the bookmark at the last stop of the day to be entered to win an amazing raffle basket.
