CHENANGO COUNTY —After competing in the Norwich YMCA annual USPA championship event, two local powerlifters Dan Conant (L) and Nick Richette (R) attended the USPA Northeastern Regional World Championships in New Jersey on November 8. Conant won first place bench press, bench only and first place 110kg weight class overall, and even won the best lifter award, awarded to the best bench presser. Richette, from Oxford, at 132 pounds was able to deadlift 501 pounds, breaking the USPA world record at just 17 years old. Congratulations! (Submitted Photos)
