                    BAINBRIDGE — On Wednesday afternoon, the 2025 Midstate Athletic Conference (MAC) Cross Country Championships were held at Bainbridge’s Clinton Park. Delhi/South Kortright boys and girls swept the team championships. The Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville boys and girls both took second with Sidney in third for boys and Edmeston/Morris finishing third for girls.
At the end of the meet, the UV/GMU cross country program honored its two seniors, Dominic Berthel (UV) and Andrea Favinger (GMU). Congratulations.

Boys:
BGAH’s Owen Degan finished second out of 33 male runners on the day with a time of 16:41, behind the leader’s 16:23. UV/GMU’s Jake Favinger had a fifth place finish with a time of 17:38 as teammate Dominic Berthel finished 24th of 33 with a time of 21:35.
BGAH continue to be a dominant full team with good finishes by Ethan Beardslee in seventh place with a time of 18:07, Sean Fowler two positions behind him in ninth place (18:23), Rowan Beasinger nearly missing 10th with a 12th place finish with a time of 18:49 with Jackari Garipoli behind him in 13th (19:07).
Aiden Quick came in 15th with a time of 19:47 as My’Kel George ran to a 18th place finish with a time of 20:27 and Evan Chapman in 22nd (21:24). Mason Lans (25th, 21:42) and Connor Rowe (31st, 26:16) rounded out the day for the BGAH boys.
Girls:
The BGAH girls’ team saw great performances by Maddie Ingham, Madison Farberman, Jalyn Winans, Lalaenia Baldwin, Macey LaFever, Gabby Gross, Marissa Mayo, Isabel Suda, and Michelle Petroski to help them finish second overall. Ingham and Farberman finished behind one another as Ingham came in fourth (21:07) and Farberman directly behind in fifth (21:10).
Winans came away with a 10th place finish with a time of 22:23 as Baldwin just missed the top 10 with a 11th place finish with a time of 22:50. LaFever ran to a 17th place finish with a time of 23:45.
Gross (24:49) and Mayo (24:55) followed one another in both 24th and 25th as Suda finished 27th (25:02) and Petroski in 31st (27:47).
UV/GMU’s Margaret Kemnah finished 12th with a time of 23:07 as Andrea Favinger and Kathleen Pizzuto came in together with Favinger in 15th with a time of 23:15 and Pizzuto in 16th (23:37).
The Cross Country sectionals are set to take place on November 6 at the Chenango Valley State Park.
