Grooving the night away dancing to Grateful Dead tunes played live on the spooky 1892 Main Stage. Halloween festivities start at 6pm, the band kicks off at 7pm, so make sure to plan time for all the fun being offered!
For those unfamiliar, the meaning of Grateful Dead, according to folktales of many cultures, is rooted in the story of the spirit of a deceased person who bestows benefits on the one responsible for his burial. In the prototypical story, the protagonist is a traveler who encounters the corpse of a debtor, to whom the honor of proper burial has been denied. Carrying the benefits of good fortune forward, the music of the Grateful Dead follows this tale and brings people together to celebrate joy and kindness.
Don’t miss this opportunity to have a blast with fellow ‘Deadheads’ as we get down on “Shakedown Street”! Tickets are $20pp and can be purchased at www.earlvvilleoperahouse.com, or by calling 315-691-3550.
