ELMIRA — After defeating Oxford last Saturday, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats girls’ soccer team traveled to take on Elmira Notre Dame in the Section IV, Class C semifinals on Wednesday. Both teams battled to a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation and through two overtime periods. The game had to be decided by penalty kicks, which Elmira Notre Dame won 6-5.

B-G took an early 1-0 lead at halftime off a goal by Breanna Casey with an assist from Keelan Ammon. The Crusaders tied it up early halfway through the second half before the Bobcats went ahead again to make it a 2-1 game as Casey found the net again with an assist from Carleigh Judd.

Elmira Notre Dame tied the game up with under five to play, sending both teams to overtime. After a scoreless overtime, both teams went into PKs.

Kamry Patten, Keelan Ammon, and Breanna Casey were successful on their PKs but Elmira Notre Dame made all four attempts to win it. Danica Park made nine saves in goal for B-G.

The Lady Bobcats had a strong 2025 season with winning the MAC championship and nearly going undefeated throughout the regular season. The Bobcats did finish with an undefeated league record at 8-0 and finished 15-1 in the regular season with a non-league loss to Oxford.
