NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley Storm and Oxford Blackhawks volleyball teams faced off in a MAC league contest at Unadilla Valley High School gymnasium. Prior to the match, the Storm honored its five seniors. 

Congratulations to Lillian Phillips, Hunter Sherman, Isabel Bonilla, Layla Stevens, and Brynley Luca. 

Oxford swept the match with final scores of 25-8, 25-14, and 25-15. UV battled in the third set with several ties until Oxford took advantage and earned all three set wins. 

Oxford’s Kassidy Miller led the team with 11 assists and five aces. Bridgette Foster finished with nine assists and seven aces as teammate Olivia Oliver added six aces and three kills. Miley Depew had four aces and four kills in the win.

Shyla Roberts led the Storm with seven digs, five aces, and two kills as Madison Pierce had a team-high five assists and added an ace.

Lillian Phillips and Layla Stevens also finished with aces while Piper Hine had one kill and Logan Cook with two kills. 

Oxford heads to Harpursville/Afton in Afton tonight at 6:30 p.m. while UV awaits their next match.
